DPA QuetzalWe purchased DPA Quetzal from Double Play Alpacas because he was the image of his sire, Accoyo Peruvian Timoteo. Quetzal's dam PPPeruvian Cornus is a beautiful female with a dense, elite fleece.

Quetzal's crias have ranged in color from black to white with magnificent phenotype, perfect conformation, and outstanding fleeces. His crias have soft, dense fleeces with high-frequency, high amplitude crimp styles in addition to Quetzal's trademark head. Read on for just some of them!

His multiple-champion son Peruvian Monsanto sold in our 2004 Breeder's Choice Auction to BelleauWood Farm and Blue Ridge Alpacas for $125,000.

His five time champion son MFI Peruvian Jaguar sold in our 2005 Breeder's Choice auction to Tuscany Valley Alpacas. His multiple champion son Peruvian Maximization sold to Eagle Bend Alpacas, Twin Beeches Alpacas, and Legends Farm. His multiple champion daughter Georgianne sold to Rose Bush Farms for $62,000, and his multiple champion son Magnar has joined our herdsire row.

At the 2008 Breeder's Choice Auction, Quetzal's daughter Port In A Storm sold to Alpacas at Booker's Corner, and Peruvian Monocue sold to One Fine Day Alpacas.

Quetzal is a male we count on each time to improve upon the qualities of the female, and his track record is astounding.
